Volunteer

Volunteers are a vital part of Elverhøj! With a wide variety of programs, we are able to offer volunteers many different opportunities that help us fulfill our mission. Learn more below about ways that you can help. We welcome new volunteers and hope that you will join us.

Please note that students wishing to volunteer must be at least 14 years old. If younger, a parent must also volunteer during their shift at the same time.

How You Can Help 

  • Greeters
    Welcome visitors to the Museum. Shifts from one to three hours when the Museum is open to the public.
  • Docents
    Share the history and heritage of Elverhøj and Solvang with visitors and groups.
  • Events
    Help ensure our events are successful by lending a hand with set-up, event service, and clean-up.
  • Workshops
    Share a special skill with the public or lend a hand at the workshop.
  • Collections
    Assist in logging and maintaining Museum artifacts.
  • Office Help
    Assist with filing, mass mailing projects, and general office support.
  • Buildings and Grounds Committee
    Help with the fix-it projects around the Museum and gardens. Great for people who are handy!
  • Fundraising Committee
    Help plan Museum events and fundraising activities. 
  • Group Volunteer Opportunities
    If you have a group interested in volunteering, please contact Elverhøj staff to determine if we can accommodate your needs.
